Social Media Explosion

Social Media Marketing is growing extremely quickly. I saw some figures that showed Facebook and Twitter usage triple and quadruple, respectively, from 2008 to 2009.
As the cost of print / media advertising continues to rise due to decreased circulation, inflation, poor economy, etc, more businesses are turning to networking. With businesses of all sizes cutting budget, free services like Facebook and Twitter are the media that everyone is turning to for information and communication to customers.
At this point I don't think anybody can predict how far or how big they will get or what other social media outlets may arise.

Waiting is the Hardest Part

Waiting for the economy to change? Cutting your advertising budget? Watching your dollars? Guess what? That's what is helping to slow the economy.
Now, it's always a good idea to watch your dollars, but don't cut everything out. Our system needs everybody to do their part. Besides, when business is slow is one of the best times to advertise. Consumers are looking for deals when money is tight. Offer some deals. Give some discounts. Make some price cuts.
Your customers will remember you when things are better. Keep your name in the marketplace whatever it takes.
So, instead of waiting for the economy to change, let's change the economy! Let's do our part.
